Heart of Maine Mobile Veterinary Services, LLC  is partnering with the Howland Community Center and the local Animal Control Officer to offer a low-cost male cat neuter clinic for residents of Howland and surrounding communities.  The Neuter clinic for Male cats will have a limit of TEN male cats total for each clinic. More opportunities for additional male cat neuter surgeries may be provided in the future. Additional cats will be placed on a waitlist. 1. This service requires owners and their pet to register for a male cat neuter appointment. These appointments will be on a first-call, first-scheduled basis. Male Cats with both testicles present only at this time. 2. For your pet’s safety and the safety of others please have all cats in labeled carriers. Please label the carriers with your name, phone number, and the cat’s name using masking tape or a luggage tag attached to the carrier. 3. Cats are required to be dropped off at the scheduled time at the Howland Community Center, located at 8 Main Street, Howland, ME. Owners will be notified when their cats are ready for pick up. 4. Cats must be at least 5 months old. 5. No cryptorchids, male cats must have both testicles descended. 6. If not currently up to date on rabies, all cats will be required to have their rabies vaccine prior to surgery. Clients will be requested to send proof of vaccination prior to surgery. If not up to date we will administer a rabies vaccine for an additional $25.00. Proof must be provided on or prior to the surgery day. 7. Payment is due at the time of service. Cash, Card, and Care Credit are accepted forms of payment. NO PERSONAL CHECKS. Owners will be made aware of any additional charges prior to discharge. Cash, Card, and CareCredit are accepted forms of payment. 8. Pre-Surgical Consent forms and Directions will be sent prior to the scheduled surgery electronically, or by mail if necessary. These are required to be returned on (if mailed) or prior to the scheduled surgery day (if provided electronically).  9. Please note we are unable to accept vouchers for these surgeries.

Heart of Maine Mobile Veterinary Services, LLC is partnering with the Howland Community Center and the local Animal Control Officer to offer a low-cost veterinary wellness clinics, for cat and dogs, for residents of Howland and surrounding communities.   1. This service requires owners and their pet to pre-register for a wellness exam appointment. These appointments will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will adjust our times according to the needs of the community in order to accommodate as many pets and families as possible. Dogs and Cats only at this time.   2. For your pet’s safety and the safety of others please have all dogs leashed and all cats in carriers. There will be a separate waiting area for cats. If your dog is reactive, please let us know at the time of scheduling the appointment. We will make sure to have special accommodations for your pet.  3. While you will have a scheduled appointment slot, it is possible we may be running behind or ahead of schedule. Please arrive a few minutes prior to your pets) scheduled appointment time. Please be patient if we are running behind. Certain pets need extra time with handling – we appreciate your understanding in this matter. Rude or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated and for the safety of our staff will result in cancellation of your appointment time.   4. Payment is due at the time of service. These prices are only applicable at the Howland Cat Neuter Clinics and subject to change as needed to reflect changes in cost. $100 – Male Cat Neuter *Price includes neuter, pain medications, and an e-collar. $25 – Rabies Vaccine *Required if not currently up to date on rabies vaccination. $25 – Feline Distemper Vaccine *** * 3-way: Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, & Panleukopenia. $50 – Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) Test * At the request of the owner. Tests for the two viruses listed above. $35 – Feline Leukemia Vaccine *** * At the request of the owner. $40 – Microchipping *At the request of the owner. $10 – Deworming * At the request of the owner. Nail Trim – Complimentary * All cats will receive a complimentary nail trim, unless otherwise declined.

These prices are only applicable at the Howland Veterinary Wellness Clinics and subject to change as needed to reflect changes in cost. $25 – Wellness Exam  – Required by law for all vaccinations, medications, and treatments. All initial appointments require a wellness exam. Follow up vaccine booster only appointments do not require an additional wellness exam. $25 – Rabies Vaccine – Prior proof of vaccination required for a 3-year vaccine, if no prior proof a 1-year vaccine will be provided.  $25 – Bordetella (Kennel Cough) Vaccine –  For dogs  $25 – Distemper Vaccine *** – For dogs* – 4-way: Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Adenovirus, & Coronavirus – For cats* – 3-way: Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, & Panleukopenia $25 – Leptospirosis Vaccine ***  – For dogs* $50 – Lyme Vaccine *** – For dogs* $50 – Heartworm/Tick Testing  – For dogs $10 – Deworming  –  For dogs and cats

***THESE VACCINES REQUIRE BOOSTERS IF NO PRIOR PROOF OR IF THEY ARE MORE THAN 6 MONTHS OVERDUE TO MAKE SURE YOUR PET IS PROTECTED.
