Service and Pricing Notes
– We only provide services for cats and dogs.
– We provide all non-surgical services in your home, we do not have a mobile veterinary vehicle.
– All surgical services are performed in Dexter Maine, they are not mobile.
– We do not currently have imaging capability (X-ray, Ultrasound, Etc).
– If desired, please call or text for an estimate prior to scheduling your mobile visit with us.
House Call Fee and Service Area
This charge is in addition to any services you schedule.
Prices are as follows:
$50 – residents of Dexter (04930 zip code) and all addresses within 0 to 15 miles of the intersection of routes 7 and 23 (near the Dunkin’ in Dexter).
$75 – 15 to 30 miles from the intersection of 7 and 23.
$100 – 30 to 50 miles from the intersection of 7 and 23.
We are no longer providing services to those beyond 1 hour or beyond 50 miles from Dexter Maine, except for our existing established clients.

Please note that we are only able to care for routine problems such as ear infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, allergies, acute cases of GI upset and more at this time. If this is a more urgent matter, we suggest reaching out to an emergency hospital or clinic that can accommodate urgent concerns.
Additional fees will apply for all medication dispensed or provided at the time of appointment.
Recheck Appointment for Sick Visit
$50 for initial pet, then $25 for each additional pet at the same visit. + House Call Fee
Acupuncture (per pet)
Home Acupuncture – $75 for initial consultation, then $50 per session. + House Call Fee
Virtual Veterinary Visits – $75 for up to a 45 minute video call (per appointment)
Due to current state regulations regarding the use of virtual veterinary visits, these are only available for follow-up appointments or if your pet has been seen by us within the last year. For more information regarding these visits, please contact us.
End of Life Services (per pet)
In-home pet euthanasia offers a more intimate and personalized experience for both the pet and the owner, allowing the pet to pass peacefully in a familiar and comfortable environment.
– Home Euthanasia – $250 + House Call Fee
– Home Euthanasia with Consult – $300 + House Call Fee
– – Involves a consultation with the veterinarian to discuss your pet’s condition and make a decision about euthanasia. Consultations help determine the best course of action for your pet.
Cremation options:
– Private ($125 + $1.25 per pound + Transport fee)
– Semi-private (This service is only offered for owners that transport their pet to the crematorium themselves; pet must also be under 30 lb)
– Communal ($2 per pound + One Way Transport fee)
– Please contact us for an individualized quote for cremation options; alternatively, pricing for those who choose to self transport can be found at the following website.
– Cremation Transport Service: You can elect to transport your own pet to the cremation facility (Please call Ashes to Ashes Pet Crematory ahead of transporting your pet, as they operate within set business hours) or we will transport your pet, please see the transport fee under fees below. This will include transport of your pet to the cremation facility and transport of ashes back to your home.

Transport Fee to Crematorium and Return of the Remains – $200
One way Transport Fee to Crematorium with Owner Pickup of the Remains from the Crematorium – $100
– Within 1 hour of Dexter Maine (Route 7 and 23 intersection), additional travel fees will apply for more than 1 hour of Travel.
Missed Appointment Fee (per appointment)
Missed Appointment Fee – Under 1 Hour of Travel – $25
Missed Appointment Fee – Over 1 Hour of Travel – $50
– This fee will be added to your account if we travel to your home for a scheduled appointment and you are not present.
Sales Tax (as applicable)
Microchipping, Medications, and other goods sold are subject to Maine State Sales Tax.
Medication Dispensing Fee
$5 For each medication dispensed at the time of appointment.

Surgical Services
– All surgeries are performed at a clinic in Dexter and are available to established clients only.
– A Pre-Operative Exam is required prior to scheduling, conducted in your home by our veterinarian, to ensure your pet is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and ready for anesthesia.
– We do not perform emergency surgeries.
– We unfortunately cannot accept vouchers at this time.
– Final cost for all surgical procedures will depend on your pet’s weight category and any additional services requested or provided.
What Sets Our Spay Services Apart
– Every surgery is supported by a fully licensed Veterinary Technician who provides continuous anesthetic monitoring from induction through recovery.
– We use IV catheters, fluids, and advanced monitoring equipment to track heart rate, oxygen, respiration, and CO₂ in real time.
– Your pet receives comprehensive pain management before, during, and after the procedure.
Pre-Operative Exam (per pet)
– Does not include vaccinations or pre-surgical medications.

– Extractions are additional and vary depending upon the needs of the pet(s).
– An individualized quote may be requested based on the needs of the pet(s).
– We do not have dental X-Ray or imaging at this time.
